The building attached to the front corner of the house contains a 2500 gallon water storage tank.  The well is pumped for 25-30 minutes a day into this tank.  Most of the time the well water has been sufficient to meet the needs of a family of six.  When more water has been needed, there is another 2500 gallon water tank over at the garage/shop building with roof catchment.  It is seldom necessary to haul any water.  During the warmer months, the kitchen porch or front porch are a great place to sit and relax awhile; enjoy the beauty of the trees and other greenery all about, watch the birds and listen to them sing.
